MDSyncEMR is the EMR designed and built by Practicing Physicans

Summary Sheet: provides a quick overview of all the information in the EMR and tabs for drilling down to more detailed information. The information available includes a problem list, list of allergies, clinical reminders, vital signs, appointments, and encounter dates.

Problem List: automatically generate ICD-9 coding by choosing from a list of pre-defined diagnostic codes. Information on family history and habits (smoking, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, etc.) is also included for faster, more accurate coding.

Flow Sheet: lab results (reports) are automatically loaded into MDsyncEMR and available for review. A point and click interface lets you chart the lab results over time.

Medication Management: this module offers some of the most powerful functionality in MDsyncEMR. Providing automatic drug interaction checking and warnings, prescription generation and tracking, and immunization tracking to reduce medication errors. The module also estimates patients’ drug co-payment (out-of-pocket costs). MDSyncEMR is the only EMR to provide multiple formulary technology customized for Hawaii’s healthcare system.

Documents: referral letters, old paper charts, and radiology reports are available as scanned TIFF or JPEG files. You can add electronic “post-it” notes to these documents.

Progress Notes: several productivity enhancement features make input fast and easy: an auto-text feature completes partially typed words, that is, drop-down lists of possible choices automatically pop-up as you type. Structured templates are standard texts that can be customized according to your preferances and specialty. SmartKeys are available that insert previously created texts (e.g. past family social history or allergies)

MDSyncEMR is compatible with Scansoft's Dragon Naturally Speaking Dictation Software.
